Another friend asked me to draw a shocked otter. Apparently it sums up his uni life...god knows how...

Here's the last animation:

Had a crit today and it's been decided that I should make sound effects to add to them. Should be interesting as I have no idea how to begin putting sound together with the rest of it =/
Also need to make flip books, bulk up sketchbooks and get a portfolio together. Bleeeeurrrrrgh...
But hey, why get on with that when you can doodle whatever pops into your head instead?

Went into UCA for a crit, didn't have it, went to buy shorts, came home. Story of my uni life. Apart from the shorts part of course.
Also if people have not yet seen the slow loris being tickled then they have not experienced all that life has to offer. I got bored so decided to revisit his beautiful face and had multiple cutegasms as a result.

Second and third animations. If anyone actually reads this then feedback would be appreciated lol =)
Hedgehog was done solidly from when I got in today (Apart from dinner. There's only so much I can take.) partly whilst listening to my friend David's radio show. He played a Pokemon dance song and I nearly suffered a cardiac arrest with happiness.

Felt very summery today. Went for the first family walk of the year - ooh how quaint of us!

Sketchbook page I did this morning:

Didn't do that much work today though. Just felt like a break. Is that so much to askkkkkk?!?

The other day I was wondering how you could 'capture' an inkblot (I know, I'm very cool) and thought of PVA as lots of people are using it at uni at the mo. So I spread some out and dripped ink into it before leaving them in the sun, hairdryer-ing them and shoving them in the oven to try and get the damn things to dry.
Just taken some photos of the sun shining though them, which I think turned out quite prettily:

Q: You know what I love at the moment?
A: Woodgrain pattern!

Wondering whether to buy this awesome laptop sticker thing...

This is my second inkblot animation. I like the fact it's shorter and more to the point but miss the skeletons lol. Also I don't think this is enough for my FMP final thing =/ Hmm what to do...

This is part of my first animation for my final project. Decided it was too long and not clear enough that the things could be seen in the inkblot shape.

Went to an AMAZING exhibition today. It was at the Horniman (gigglegiggle) museum in Forest Hill and it had all these giant moving models of mythical creatures! So worth getting blisters on my feet from tramping round London.

Best yeti pose...

My wish was to pass my foundation course. I've got the unicorn backing me now =)

Some giant monkeys having a picnic?

Oh-so-awesome dragon!

And just some pretty summer-ish pictures from around the museum.

So that was a welcome break from being glued to my laptop. Back to it now I guess =/

Been working on my animation since I got up. Now that's dedication! Well I'm enjoying it anyway, except my back's now killing me =(
These guys star in it:

Took loads of photos today for my final project, which'll be a stop frame animation (it seemed such a good idea at the time...)

This is what I've spent close to all afternoon doing! Behold the inkblot alphabet.
I'm disgusting today. Haven't got changed or washed my hair or anything.

So far today I have turned my sketchbook into an art gallery:

(OK so maybe not the most awesome art gallery you've ever seen...)
And made ink blot fonts:

Top font was done with GIMP program (I really need to buy a mouse for my laptop!) and the rest is obviously me just making a complete mess on my desk =)

I love mini canvases. This one's about 2 inches. It was crying out for a lemur. Not a leopard, not a catfish, not a heron, but a LEMUR of course.

And the Innocent smoothie bunnies are great! So cute =)

Ok, I'm determined to finish this sketchbook. I'm so rubbish at doing loads of work and filling up space =/ I need ideeeeeeas!

For some reason my friend wanted me to draw this for her other friend. I don't know why she wanted a dolphin and giraffe swimming, I really don't... O_o

More colourful splats. Don't really know where I'm going with this, but who cares 'cause the weather's LOVELYYYYYY!!! =D

Finally finished the book after much fiddling round with thread and glue and many noises implying general annoyance.
I made inkblots, asked people what they saw in them, and then drew the responses over the blots.

Happy banana is happy:

Old photo I dug up =)
I found the banana like this - no poking it with a stick or anything to make him happy. He's obviously naturally optimistic.
I thought he deserved to head my blog!

Here's some pretty pictures that're on my wall:

Today I'm making a prototype book for my project. I'd forgotten how tedious it can be! Oh well, hopefully it'll come out alright.

I gave my ivy plant a haircut but I left out the head massage.

This post is bought to you from my bed as I've finally got round to getting wireless! Virgin Media were stupid and forgot about us so they gave the router to us free after I complained *Grin grin*

So did go into town yesterday. Got soaked, got spraypaint. Refused to wait for rain to stop and squeezed onto front porch with everything. I spraypainted my pictogram over my silkscreen prints. (Is it silkscreen? Screenprint? God knows...) This is the oh-so-beautiful fusion that was created:

And then I did this with watercolours and a big fat pen:

Spraypaint is fun =)

The rut is GONE! Hooray! Only took like...oh, 2 weeks?
Tomorrow (or maybe today - who can say?) I'm going to skip into town and buy some spray paint, make stencils and generally have an awesome time in the garden making a mess =)

Last night I went out to a Chinese with some of my friends who were back from uni, which was lovely-jubly. Even better was that it was all you can eat and so of course we all made the most of this fantastic, beautiful, almost sacred opportunity presented to us. My friend Kar brought along a Polaroid camera and a fisheye one too - awesome!

Look at the cute teapot! I wanted to take it home with me...

Yesterday I also fell for this April fool's joke on the Yahoo! front page. Oh the shame...
